How to launch an app in 30 days without building from scratch

Ready-to-launch software can save months. Here is a practical 30-day plan from idea to app store.

Week 1: Decide what "launch" means

Write down the one job your app must do on day one. A taxi app must book a ride; a pharmacy app must take an order. Everything else is version two. Pick a ready-made product that already does that core job well, so your effort goes into your market rather than code.

Week 1: Brand and accounts

Choose your name, logo and colours. Register your domain and create Google Play and Apple developer accounts in your company name. App store accounts can take several days to verify, so start early.

Week 2: Configure, don't rebuild

Set your pricing, categories, service areas, payment gateway and email templates. List only the customisations that change how money comes in. Cosmetic wishes can wait.

Week 3: Test with real people

Give the app to ten people who match your customer. Watch them use it. Fix anything that stops a booking or payment; note everything else for later.

Week 4: Publish and get first users

Submit to the app stores, launch your website, and line up your first customers before release day: friends, local partners, a small paid campaign or a creator collaboration. A launch without users is just a deployment.

The takeaway

Speed comes from starting with proven software and saying no to non-essential features. You can always add more once paying customers tell you what they need.
